If you and your boyfriend have recently broken up and you see that he has been trying to contact you or has asked if you want to get together to do something, he probably has an interest in getting back together with you. But you need to hold back a little and play hard to get.
You also need to think of your current situation and why the two of you broke up in the first place. If you think there is a chance you guys could make another go at a relationship and succeed then it may be worth meeting him. But like I said, play hard to get and not just jump right back into a relationship.
If you had already been playing hard to get with him because he was being pushy with you, he needs to back off because his strategy may keep the two of you apart forever. Once he stops pursuing you and takes his thoughts off of you will he be able to think straight and make some good decisions.
So if you are wondering if your ex wants to get back together with you, he probably does. Be careful that all the feelings are from the heart and not some emotional thing like being possessive. This is another reason why you should hold back, you will see more clearly what the motives are for your ex to be pursuing you. If you were to get back together under these circumstances things would again not go good.
